nature walk

The forest around her was dark and for the most part silent, the only presences near her were small and insignifigant creatures rustling noisly around in the brush. By the moonlight filtering through the dense tree tops she knew it to be near the moons peak, the sun having set while she was still in the air, the forest yet to enter into her line of vision.
Breathing deep, she took in the scents of the trees and the earth, a sense of calm filling her. Hara found it peacful, and the city beyond looked inviting enough. She figured it was as good a place as any, having gotten bored with her previous place of residence.
Stretching her glorious dusk-colored wings one last time, she drew them within her, their sudden absence making it as though they had never been, at the same time cloaking her scent and aura, but not bothering to mask her actual presence. For all apearances, Hara was human. That is, if you discounted her too perfect apearance and oddly light step.

Karina blinked, looking around in confusion. This wasn't where she meant to teleport herself...where was she? With a startled jolt, she almost immediately registered the other person standing nearby. The moonlight was just enough to reveal that presence, but nothing beyond a dark silhouette. Warily, she kept her hand on the hilt of her blade, but did not draw it.
Excuse me, but do you know where we are? I'm afraid I got a little lost, she mentally asked.

The presence of the mage became known to her the second the flux in the air around her spiked, the odd prickling in the back of her mind confirming it. Hara stopped, still and silent, waiting for her presence to be noted.
When the silent question came, she stayed quiet for a moment, contemplating as to whether or not she should answer, especially considering she herself wasn't sure of the forests name.
I know only this forest to be near the outskirts of a place called Aeronwen
Well, at least that's what she was assuming, unless her sense of direction was off and she was somewere completly different...

Karina smiled a little in relief, for it seemed that she wasn't too far away from Aeronwen after all. All she had to do was figure out which direction to go and she could get back easily.
It was very dark, which would make it easy for someone to get the jump on her, so she didn't want to stay here for long. However, the stranger's reply prompted another question from her.
Place called Aeronwen? Are you new in town?

Hara gazed unblinkingly over at the mage for a few seconds in silence, weighing her options. Of course she could reply, since the answer was obvious from the way she'd phrased her last response, but then again, she could always be a pregnant dog and not.
Yes and no. To this land upon which we stand, no, to the town which was built upon it, yes.
Her mental voice spoke softly and hinted at little emotion, leaving the mage to take her words in whatever fashion she liked.

Oh. duh.
Karina mentally smacked herself, at getting so unnerved by the surrounding darkness to ask such an unnecessary question. Oh well...she doubted she'd run into this person again, so it didn't matter so much that she'd made a fool of herself this time.
Ah...well, thank you for your help
With that, she teleported herself back to Aeronwen.
